Dr. Benoit Charette, D.V.M., M.S.; Diplomate, ACVS

Dr. Benoit Charette completed his DVM at the University of Montreal in 1993. After an internship in 1994, he worked in small animal general practice for three years. He then returned to his Alma Mater to complete a Master degree in Early Detection of Hip Dysplasia and a residency in small animal surgery. He remained at the School of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal as an associate professor for one year. Dr. Charette entered private practice in a suburb of Chicago until October 2004. Since October 2004, Dr. Charette has been an associate veterinarian at California Animal Hospital Veterinary Specialty Group. His main interests are neurosurgery (including brain surgery), soft tissue surgery, and fracture repair. Dr. Charette became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in February, 2003.

Dr. Veronique Sammut, D.V.M., M.S.; Diplomate, ACVIM (Neurology)

Dr. Veronique Sammut received her DVM in 1997 from the University of Montreal. She then completed an internship before working as a clinician in small animal anesthesiology for 1 year. She stayed at the University of Montreal three more years to complete a residency in Neurology after which she worked for two years in private practice in a suburb of Chicago. She moved to southern California in 2004 and has worked at California Animal Hospital Veterinary Specialty Group since then. Her main interests are seizure disorders, brain tumors, and COMS. She has a master degree in Neurology and is Diplomate of the ACVIM in Neurology since 2002.
